Andhra Pradesh GSDP grows 10.7% in Q1 FY27
Andhra Pradesh is a state in India that is like a big family.
The state government made a report about how the family is doing.
The report says the state's economy grew very fast in the first part of the new financial year.
Farmers grew three times more spices than before.
They also grew lots more vegetables and raised more chickens and shrimp.
Companies sold more things, so the state collected more tax money.
Many tourists came to visit the state.
But there was one problem: not enough rain fell.
Because of the dry weather, some big dams on the Krishna River did not fill up all the way.
Even so, the report says the state is growing and doing well.
Andhra Pradesh's GSDP grew 10.7% in the first quarter of the current financial year, according to the State Government's July 2026 Economic Report.
Real GSDP growth rose from 6.5% in 2023-24 to 9.9% in 2025-26, staying above the national growth rate for the past two years.
Agriculture and allied sectors boomed: spice production tripled to 89,383 metric tonnes, vegetable production grew 45%, and marine shrimp production rose 17%.
General exports grew 10.5% to ₹16,322 crore, GST collections rose 21% to ₹13,282 crore, and commercial vehicle purchases jumped 51.6%.
Investments surged with mega projects worth ₹2.88 lakh crore (up 75.4%), while El Niño-driven deficient rainfall left the Krishna River reservoirs below full capacity.
