A very important court in India made a decision about a man named Tarun Tejpal.

He used to be the boss of a news magazine called Tehelka.

A woman who used to work with him said he hurt her badly in 2013.

The police believed her and arrested him.

Later, another court said he was not guilty, but the government of Goa did not agree.

The Goa government asked a higher court, the Bombay High Court, to look at the case again.

That court said he was guilty and gave him 10 years in jail.

The judge also made him pay fines.

Mr. Tejpal says he did not do it and that the case is unfair.

He says powerful people are punishing him because he wrote bad things about them.

He will ask an even higher court, the Supreme Court, to check the decision.

Until then, the court says he must go to jail.
