JSSC Paper Leak: CID Says 120 Questions Leaked, Students Protest
In the Indian state of Jharkhand, the government holds big tests to pick people for jobs.
In September 2024, people said the test questions were leaked before the exam.
Some people paid money and got the answers on WhatsApp or even through old-fashioned landline phones.
A police team called the CID looked into it and said 120 out of 150 questions were leaked.
But the government did not agree and made a new team to check again.
That new team said no leak happened and gave the exam a clean chit.
Students were very upset about this.
Then another government test, called JPSC, had a similar leak problem.
Angry students started a protest at a stadium in Ranchi that has lasted 16 days.
The students want the government to make the tests fairer, and a government minister says a solution will come soon.
The JSSC-CGL exam papers were leaked in September 2024, with answers circulated via WhatsApp, landline phones, and even dictated to paid aspirants.
The state CID concluded in March 2025 that 120 out of 150 questions were leaked, but the Jharkhand government shelved the report.
A second SIT investigation effectively dismissed the paper leak claims and gave the examination a clean chit.
A similar leak during the JPSC exam triggered a massive student protest in Ranchi demanding recruitment exam reforms.
The protest, led by student leader Devendra Nath Mahto at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, has entered its 16th day with several talks yielding no solution yet.
Jharkhand Minister Deepika Singh said students' concerns are valid and the government will reach a solution soon.
