YSRCP Accuses State Government of Taking Health Project Credit
The YSRCP says the government is presenting older health projects as new achievements.
It says the projects were approved when the YSRCP was previously in power.
The projects include seven public health laboratories and five critical care centers.
Together, they are estimated to cost about Rs 127.50 crore.
The Centre reportedly released Rs 55.29 crore for them.
The YSRCP says the current government should receive credit only for work it actually completed.
It called the alleged behavior “credit chori,” meaning taking someone else’s credit.
It also asked for clear information about medicine supplies in government hospitals.
YSRCP alleged that the government is claiming credit for health projects approved during its previous tenure.
Seven Integrated Public Health Laboratories and five Critical Care Blocks were reportedly sanctioned between 2021-22 and 2023-24.
The 12 projects were estimated to cost about Rs 127.50 crore, excluding the State share.
The Centre released Rs 55.29 crore for the projects during those years, according to YSRCP.
YSRCP also sought hospital-wise information on medicine stocks, procurement and expenditure amid alleged shortages.
