Renault Duster Hybrid Claims 29 Kmpl, Bookings Open
Renault is preparing to launch a hybrid version of the Duster SUV in India.
The company says it can travel 29 kilometres on a litre of fuel in a certified test.
That is a little more than the mileage figures stated for two rival hybrid SUVs.
The Duster combines a petrol engine with two electric motors and a battery.
It can use electric power when conditions allow and can recover energy while slowing down.
The battery charges while the vehicle is being driven, so it does not need to be plugged in.
Bookings opened on October 9, 2026, for Rs 21,000.
Renault plans to launch it on October 17, but has not yet shared its price.
