An Assam Police vehicle caught fire near a village by the Assam-Meghalaya border.
The vehicle belonged to police personnel stationed at the Mawsikar camp.
It was parked only a short distance from the camp.
The fire started at about 4 a.m.
on Wednesday.
A village headman told police about the incident.
Police think someone may have deliberately started the fire.
