Delhi Man Arrested for Attempted Murder of Wife and Daughter
A man in a city called Delhi got into a big argument at home with his wife and daughter.
During the fight, he hurt them badly with a knife.
The hospital told the police, and the police started looking for the man.
He had run away, but the police watched security videos and asked people for help.
A few days later, they found him near a cinema hall and arrested him.
The man told the police he got very angry during the argument.
The police also found the knife they say he used.
The man drives an e-rickshaw, a small electric vehicle, to earn money.
Police said he also likes to drink alcohol.
Now he is in custody and the law will decide what happens next.
Delhi Police arrested 43-year-old Satya Prakash on August 5 for allegedly attempting to murder his wife Poonam (38) and 15-year-old daughter in Shahdara.
The case came to light on August 1 when Police Station Mansarovar Park was informed by GTB Hospital about a woman and minor girl admitted with stab injuries.
FIR No. 212/2026 was registered on August 2 under Section 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Mansarovar Park.
The accused, an e-rickshaw driver, allegedly fled by boarding another rickshaw after crossing the Jagatpuri railway line towards Nand Nagri.
Police recovered the knife allegedly used in the attack; the accused reportedly confessed, citing a heated argument over a domestic dispute.
