BMW i5 LWB launched in India with 669km range
BMW has launched a new electric car called the i5 Long Wheelbase in India.
It costs Rs 79.60 lakh before taxes and other charges.
The car is made at BMW’s Chennai factory.
It has one available version called the eDrive35L M Sport.
Its electric motor produces 268hp and 410Nm of torque.
The battery can reportedly let the car travel up to 669km under India’s MIDC testing system.
Making the car locally may help BMW compete on price with other locally assembled luxury electric cars.
BMW also said that all 99 First Edition cars were sold before the official launch.
