BMW X1 LWB Launched In India At Rs 49.90 Lakh
BMW has launched a longer version of its X1 SUV in India.
It is called the BMW X1 LWB, where LWB means long wheelbase.
The car costs Rs 49.90 lakh before taxes and other charges.
Its extra length mainly gives passengers in the back more legroom.
The rear seats also have a longer cushion and the doors open wider.
The SUV uses a petrol engine and an automatic gearbox.
It includes features such as a large glass roof, a touchscreen-style curved display and advanced safety systems.
BMW will assemble this version in India, and it competes with other premium compact SUVs.
BMW has launched the X1 LWB in India at Rs 49.90 lakh ex-showroom, in a single sDrive18i M Sport variant.
The SUV is 4,616mm long, with a wheelbase reported as 2,800mm or 2,802mm—108mm longer than the standard X1.
The extended body provides 109mm more rear-seat knee room, a 15mm longer cushion and wider-opening rear doors.
Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 156hp and 230Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and front-wheel drive.
Features include a panoramic glass roof, BMW OS 9, Harman Kardon audio, driver-assistance systems and a 540-litre boot expandable to 1,700 litres.
