At 92, Hyderabad gynecologist still performs C-sections daily

Suri Srimathi is a 92-year-old doctor in Hyderabad.

She has cared for mothers and babies for more than 60 years.

Her peers say she has helped deliver about two lakh babies.

She still performs some Caesarean sections, also called C-sections.

Many patients return to her after growing up because she delivered them or helped their families.

Some former patients now bring their own children to her.

Srimathi became a doctor partly because her father encouraged her.

She studied with financial help from a scholarship and also recorded programs for All India Radio.

She says women should pay more attention to eating well and caring for their health.
