Assam STF Arrests Second Suspect in Alleged Espionage Case

Assam Police’s Special Task Force arrested Ritesh Kumar Singh in Guwahati on suspicion of helping leak sensitive security information to a Pakistan Intelligence Operative.
Police said Singh was picked up for questioning at rented accommodation in Guwahati’s Satgaon area before being arrested.
The case’s first accused, Abhishek Kumar Singh, was arrested during an operation on the night of October 3–4.
Investigators said Abhishek allegedly shared information about defence infrastructure and security-force movements with Pakistani handlers.
Authorities are examining seized digital devices, tracing possible financial transactions and looking for other potential accomplices.
