Police arrested a man accused of hitting a woman riding a motorcycle in Gurgaon.

The incident happened on Golf Course Road and was recorded by cameras.

The woman, Shivani Chauhan, said she was frightened and shared her account online.

Police said the driver, Kalyan Bainsla, later tried to avoid arrest.

They said he tried to escape while in custody and was hurt when he fell.

His cousin, who was allegedly with him, was also arrested.

Police changed the case from a basic rash-driving complaint to more serious charges after examining videos and the woman’s statement.

The car involved was also taken by police.
