Akhilesh: BJP only has money left to win UP polls
Two big political groups in India are arguing about helping women in a state called Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav leads the Samajwadi Party.
He says the BJP, the group in power, wants to win the next election by giving women money.
News said the BJP might give women 20,000 rupees a year.
Yadav thinks that amount is far too small.

Yadav reacted to media reports of a possible Rs 20,000 annual dole for women in Uttar Pradesh, calling it 'another jumla' and alleging the money was 'the earnings of its sins.'
Yadav calculated that Rs 50,000 annually over 10 years would total Rs 5 lakh, making the reported Rs 20,000 proposal only four per cent of that amount.
BJP Uttar Pradesh vice-president Neeraj Singh said the party had made no such announcement and accused Yadav of making a 'deceptive' promise of Rs 40,000 to women.
Singh cited the Women's Reservation Act (Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam) and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao as BJP efforts for women's empowerment and alleged the SP used a similar tactic before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
