The Ministry of Rural Development wants to finish the paperwork for more than 2,000 older rural skills projects.

These projects belong to the first phase of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana.

The ministry held a two-day meeting to plan how to complete the work quickly and properly.

Officials from states, Union territories and technical organizations took part.

They discussed problems, possible solutions and examples of good work.

They also reviewed an online system used to track project completion.

The participating states agreed to work with the ministry and technical agencies.

The newer phase of the programme will focus on placing at least 70 percent of trainees in jobs and helping them keep those jobs.
