A Bhopal Municipal Corporation employee allegedly tried to burn the mayor’s official vehicle.

The incident happened at the corporation’s headquarters on Monday afternoon.

The employee was identified as Sunil Gaikwad.

He reportedly burned book pages and threw them onto the vehicle.

A security guard removed the burning papers and injured his hand.

Gaikwad said he was upset because he had not been made a permanent employee.

He also claimed that his child had been expelled from school for this reason.

BMC officials said Gaikwad had been absent from work for a long time.

Police registered a case after the corporation filed a complaint.
