Rescued Orangutan Cubs Stable as Odisha Smuggling Probe Continues
Five baby orangutans were found in a forest in Odisha and taken to a zoo for care.
They are being kept separately in quarantine at Nandankanan Zoological Park.
Veterinarians checked them and said all five are stable.
The cubs are eating normally.
Some of them have anaemia, which means their blood is not as healthy as it should be.
The experts also found that the cubs need treatment for worms.
Zoo staff will slowly give them more food and introduce solid food.
Police and wildlife officials are trying to find out whether the orangutans were brought into India illegally.
Orangutans do not naturally live in India and are mainly found in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Veterinary experts recommended completing treatment for worm load and gradually increasing feed.
The cubs are accepting food normally, with body temperatures ranging from 98.6 to 101 degrees Fahrenheit.
