In Class 5, she scored only five marks out of 50 in Mathematics.

Later, she worked harder and began coming first in her class after Class 9.

She tried the UPSC examination three times.

She did not pass the final stage in her first attempt and did not clear the preliminary test in her second attempt.

On her third try, she achieved All India Rank 203 and became an IPS officer.

She says children should be encouraged rather than judged by early school results.
