KTR Threatens No-Trust Motion Against Telangana Speaker

KT Rama Rao, also called KTR, criticized police actions against opposition lawmakers in Telangana.

He said some women legislators were treated roughly outside the Assembly.

KTR blamed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is also the Home Minister, for the conduct of the police.

He said his party may ask the Assembly to vote against Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.

The party also plans to complain to two national rights bodies.

KTR said the government was trying to distract people from the alleged police behavior.

He also objected to opposition lawmakers being stopped from wearing protest T-shirts.

He compared this with protests by Congress members and Rahul Gandhi in Parliament.
