Sridhar Babu defends ban on T-shirts with slogans · thehansindia.com

Telangana Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu explained a rule about clothing in the Assembly.

He said lawmakers can wear T-shirts in any colour.

However, he said shirts with slogans count like placards.

According to him, that would break the Assembly’s rules.

He said Rahul Gandhi’s shirt had no writing on it.

The minister also said opposition members are allowed to protest.

He argued that protests must still follow rules and respect the legislature.

He asked BRS leaders to apologize over alleged insulting remarks and behavior toward police.
