16 Maoists Surrender in Jharkhand Under Operation Navjeevan-II
Sixteen Maoist cadres, including a high-ranking member with a reward of Rs 15 lakh, surrendered to the Jharkhand Police.
They handed over 11 guns and lots of ammunition.
The police said this happened because of their strong anti-Maoist operations and a policy that helps Maoists who give up violence.
Most of these Maoists were active in the forests of Kolhan and Saranda, and two were from Latehar district.
The police hope more Maoists will surrender and stop violent activities.

They handed over 11 sophisticated firearms and 1,562 rounds of live ammunition.
The surrendered cadres were active in the Kolhan, Saranda, and Latehar regions.
The police attributed the surrenders to sustained anti-Naxal operations and the state’s rehabilitation policy.
93 Maoists have been arrested, 45 have surrendered, and 22 have been killed in encounters in Jharkhand so far in 2026.
