Telangana DGP Seeks Promotions for 37 DSP Officers
Thirty-seven police officers in Telangana have been waiting for promotions for years.
They are currently DSP-rank officers.
The officers come from the 1991, 1995 and 1996 batches.
DGP C.V. Anand said he would discuss their promotions with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Some officers had taken the matter to court.
Warangal zone officers said they would withdraw their cases after meeting Anand.
Hyderabad zone officers also showed a positive attitude toward withdrawing their cases.
This could help the long-delayed promotions move forward.
