Indian Coast Guard Bike Rally Marks 50th Raising Day
The Indian Coast Guard organized a big bike ride to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
The ride started from two places, Tuticorin and Visakhapatnam, and ended in Chennai.
Fifty riders traveled about 1,500 kilometers over five days, stopping at important coastal towns.
The ride was to show how the Coast Guard protects the sea and helps people who live near the coast.
They also talked to local communities about important topics like saving the environment and supporting girls' education.
When they arrived in Chennai, a high-ranking officer welcomed them and praised their hard work.
The Indian Coast Guard organized a motorcycle expedition to mark its 50th Raising Day, covering 1,500 km from Tuticorin and Visakhapatnam to Chennai.
Fifty coast guard riders participated in the five-day expedition, passing through key coastal locations like Kakinada, Vijayawada, and Puducherry.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Inspector General Rajesh Mittal and Vikas Nair, IRS, Commissioner of Customs.
On arrival in Chennai, Inspector General D S Saini received the riders and felicitated them for their dedication.
The expedition aimed to highlight the ICG's role in maritime security, safety, and community engagement, including initiatives like 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' and 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
