Scientists found a special spider on the Canary Islands that has something amazing happening to its DNA.
This spider, called Dysdera tilosensis, has a genome that is only half the size of its cousin that lives on the mainland.
Normally, when animals have smaller populations, their DNA doesn't change much, but this spider is different.
Even with less DNA, it has more genetic diversity.
