Kharge to Address Congress Workers in Goa on August 17

The leader of the Congress party in India is Mallikarjun Kharge.

He is going to visit a state called Goa.

Goa is a small state on the coast of India.

There, he will give a speech to people who work for the Congress party.

It will be his first speech to party workers in Goa since becoming the party's national leader.

The visit is happening because Goa will hold an election for its state government soon.

The election is expected early next year.

The Congress party wants to do well in that election.

Right now, the party has only three members in Goa's 40-member assembly.

In 2022, the party had won 11 seats, but eight of its members later joined another party called the BJP.
