GHMC Town Planning Supervisor Caught in Rs 4 Lakh Bribery Case
The Anti-Corruption Bureau says a town planning supervisor was caught taking money.
The supervisor works for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
The ACB says she had asked for Rs 8 lakh and accepted Rs 4 lakh.
The money was allegedly offered so a person could continue building without the supervisor acting on official orders.
The ACB also found Rs 2.5 lakh in unaccounted cash.
The agency says it seized both amounts.

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau said it caught a GHMC Town Planning Supervisor allegedly accepting a Rs 4 lakh bribe.
The officer allegedly demanded Rs 8 lakh and accepted Rs 4 lakh as part payment.
The alleged payment was sought to overlook Deputy Commissioner orders concerning a complainant’s building construction.
The ACB said it recovered the Rs 4 lakh and seized another Rs 2.5 lakh in unaccounted cash.
The ACB said the case is under investigation.
