Langsning FC's bold Durand Cup debut as 'Men in Pink'

Langsning FC is a football club from Shillong in India playing in the Durand Cup for the very first time.

The Durand Cup is Asia's oldest football tournament.

In their first game, they beat Mumbay FC 5-0, with Syed Ahmed scoring twice.

In their second game, they came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with local rivals Nongkseh SS&CC.

One player, Mebanshngain Kurkalang, dedicated his goal to his mother and to someone he called 'the love of my life, Veronica.'

The team is very young, with an average age of about 24 and some players under 20.

After two games, Langsning have four points and have not lost a match.

Next, they face Shillong Lajong FC with a place in the quarter-finals within reach.
