Ujjain Plans Mechanised Parking Ahead of Simhastha 2028
Ujjain is preparing for a large religious gathering called Simhastha in 2028.
Officials discussed building multilevel parking areas so visitors can park more easily and traffic is less crowded.
They considered possible places for the parking facilities.
Officials also checked road and underpass projects that are being built for the event.
Asheesh Singh asked those working on the projects to coordinate, meet deadlines and maintain construction quality.

Divisional Commissioner and Simhastha Fair Officer Asheesh Singh chaired a coordination meeting at the Simhastha Mela Office on Saturday.
Officials reviewed the Public Works Department’s plan for temporary construction in the Mela area and were directed to coordinate across departments.
The officials also inspected a Chintaman Ganesh Marg underpass, the MR-4 road works and the MR-4/SR-1 junction design.
