PM to Inaugurate Northeast's First Highway Emergency Landing Strip
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the Northeast's first highway-based emergency landing strip on February 14.
This special runway is built along National Highway 127 near Moran in Assam.
It is 4.5 kilometers long and 30 meters wide.
The highway can be used for emergency landings if planes can't land at the nearby Dibrugarh airport.
