India Sets Netflix Viewing Record

India had a really big six months on Netflix.

They got 688 million views from January to June 2026, which is a new record.

Four Indian movies were in the top 100 movies on Netflix, and one of them, Dhurandhar, was the most-watched Indian movie with 37 million views.

There were also some Indian TV shows that did really well, like Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web and The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Netflix is happy with how well Indian content is doing and wants to make more movies and shows from India for people all over the world to watch.
