Pagara Dam Opens Six Gates After Heavy Rains
Heavy rain has filled the Pagara Dam in Madhya Pradesh beyond its normal limit.
The dam opened six gates to let extra water out safely.

Pagara Dam in Morena’s Jaura area opened six auto-tilting gates after its water level exceeded the Full Tank Level.
Officials said about 48,831 cusecs of water was being released through the six gates.
At 6 am on September 5, the dam’s water level was 200.55 metres, above its 199.33-metre Full Tank Level.
The reservoir held 144.372 million cubic metres of live storage, reaching about 119.82% of capacity.
Authorities warned residents in low-lying areas and near rivers and drains to remain alert as rainfall continues.
