FDA Seizes Milk, Suspends Licenses in Maharashtra

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Maharashtra conducted a special inspection drive from July 16 to July 21.

They checked 103 hotels, restaurants, and similar places.

During this drive, they seized over 1,700 litres of milk and 896 kg of milk products worth Rs 1.44 lakh.

They also suspended the licenses of 16 eateries for not following food safety rules.

The FDA found that some milk was not stored properly and some products were of poor quality.

They also seized other food items worth Rs 5.56 lakh and took action against the sale of banned food products.

The FDA will continue to take strict action against those who violate food safety norms.
