His wife, Himayati, told police he punched her nose after she asked him to stop drinking.
She said the alleged assault happened at their quarters in the First Battalion premises in Yousufguda.
Himayati also alleged that Goud threatened her when she tried to stop him from abusing their children.
She said she had approached police about three earlier incidents in 2023 but later withdrew those complaints; the current case is under investigation.
