Bengaluru Bans Meat Sale for Sadhu Vaswani Jayanti
The Greater Bengaluru Authority has announced a ban on meat sales and animal slaughter in Bengaluru on November 25, 2025.
This ban is in observance of Sadhu Vaswani Jayanti, a day honoring Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, who was a spiritual leader and advocate of vegetarianism.
The day also coincides with International Meatless Day and International Vegetarian Day.
All slaughterhouses and meat shops in the city will be closed on this day.
