WhatsApp May Add Direct Chat Support for Third-Party AI Agents

WhatsApp may soon let people use AI helpers from other companies inside WhatsApp chats.

The possible feature was found in a test version of WhatsApp for Android.

Users might see a new section for adding compatible AI agents.

They may be able to give each agent a name and profile picture.

One report says an account could support as many as five agents.

After setting one up, WhatsApp may create a special API key.

Users would enter that key into the service that runs the AI agent.

The setup could be different for each service.

A new key might be created if someone wants to reset the connection.
