Rahul, Padikkal Steady India After Jaiswal Run-Out in Galle Test

India is playing a cricket match against Sri Lanka.

It is the first day of the first Test match, and the game is happening in a place called Galle.

A player named Yashasvi Jaiswal was running between the wickets when he bumped into the bowler and lost his balance.

Because of a mix-up with his teammate KL Rahul, he was run out, which means he had to leave the field.

He had scored 32 runs and was playing well, so it was an unlucky way to get out.

But India still played well.

Two other batters, KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal, stayed at the crease and scored runs together.

They added 54 runs for the second wicket without getting out.

At lunchtime, India had scored 101 runs and lost only one wicket.

The Indian batters hit boundaries and sixes against the Sri Lankan spinners.

The Sri Lankan bowlers, including a debutant named Keshara Nuwantha, tried hard but could not trouble the Indian batters too much.

India had a strong start despite the early setback.
