Police Bust Alleged Illegal Arms Racket Near Bengaluru, Seven Held
Police in Bengaluru say they stopped a group suspected of selling illegal guns.
Seven people were arrested.
The police said the group had country-made pistols and live bullets.
The first arrest happened on August 14 near a railway gate in Anekal.
Police said they found three pistols and 10 bullets in one suspect’s bag.
They questioned him and learned about other people allegedly involved.
Two more pistols were later recovered from two of the other suspects.
The case is being investigated under India’s Arms Act.
