East-west overbridge at Mumbai’s Sion set for June 2026 opening, connectivity between Eastern Express Highway and Lal Bahadur Shashtri Marg to improve · indianexpress.com

The city of Mumbai is building a new bridge in the area called Sion.

This bridge will help cars and people move more easily between two big roads, the Eastern Express Highway and Lal Bahadur Shashtri Marg.

The old bridge was very old and not safe, so they decided to build a new one.

The new bridge will be bigger, with four lanes for cars instead of two, and a path for people walking to the train station.

The city wants all the work to be done by June 2026.

Right now, they are making parts of the bridge in Nagpur and Ambala.

They also have to finish some roads and tunnels before the bridge can be used.
