Nadda Slams Gandhi Over Sit-In Seeking FIR for Student
All these things just to be in headlines: Nadda criticises Rahul Gandhi for dharna outside police station · thehansindia.com

Rahul Gandhi sat outside a police station to demand that police register a formal complaint.

The complaint concerns Sahil Lochav, a student who allegedly suffered pellet-gun injuries during a July 20 protest.

The protest took place at or near Jantar Mantar and Connaught Place.

Gandhi said a medical report from AIIMS found more than 200 shells in Lochav’s body.

He also said three shells were in Lochav’s eye and that Lochav lost vision in that eye.

Gandhi claimed that some shells were near Lochav’s heart and could not be removed.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined him at the sit-in.

J.P. Nadda said the protest was mainly meant to attract cameras and headlines, while the Supreme Court’s committee was already examining the incident.

Quotes

Rahul Gandhi

Leader of the Opposition who spoke outside the Sansad Marg police station

“Today, the entire country is once again witnessing Rahul Gandhi's cheap and diversionary politics, as demonstrated by his protest outside Parliament Street Police Station. Everyone has seen it. Rahul Gandhi's dharna today is neither for the students nor for justice. It is a symbol of the Congress party's political frustration and Rahul Gandhi's hunger for footage.”
