Bhopal Janmashtami Celebrations Feature 101 Children at CM Residence
Janmashtami is a festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
In Bhopal, 101 children dressed like Radha and Krishna joined a celebration at the Chief Minister’s home.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav spoke with the children and broke a traditional clay pot called a matki.
He also gave them makhan-mishri, a sweet food associated with Krishna.
People across Bhopal attended prayers, processions and cultural programmes.
The Madhya Pradesh government held Shri Krishna Parv events in all 55 districts.
More than 1,500 artists performed songs, dances and plays about Krishna.
Temples were decorated, and devotees planned special celebrations at midnight.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav hosted Janmashtami celebrations at his Bhopal residence with 101 children dressed as Radha and Krishna.
Yadav interacted with the children, broke a matki while carrying a child dressed as Bal Gopal, and offered makhan-mishri.
The state government organized Shri Krishna Parv at 111 locations across Madhya Pradesh’s 55 districts.
More than 1,500 artists performed Raslila, bhajans, folk songs and programmes about Krishna’s life and teachings.
Bhopal saw processions, temple prayers and cultural events, while midnight celebrations and maha aarti were planned at major temples.
