Sujeet Kalkal won the 65kg freestyle wrestling trial in Lucknow.
He beat Anujj Kumar by eight points to three.
Other wrestlers also won their weight classes in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
These results do not yet decide who will compete at the world championships.
The winners will have another trial against wrestlers chosen for the Asian Games.
That contest will help decide India’s representatives for the Senior World Wrestling Championships 2026.

Yash, Rahul, Pushpendar Dalal, Vicky and Jaspooran Singh won other freestyle categories.
Sachin, Harsh, Luvpreet Singh, Rohit, Abhimanyu and Joginder topped Greco-Roman divisions.
The winners are set for a final trial against the Asian Games-bound contingent.
