Two KPSC staffers arrested over leaking candidate details

Some people who work at the Karnataka Public Service Commission, the office that helps choose people for government jobs, have been arrested by police.

They are accused of secretly sharing the names and details of people who were chosen for job interviews.

After the information was shared, other people called the job seekers and asked for lots of money.

These people promised they could get them government jobs in return for lakhs of rupees.

The job seekers complained, saying money was being demanded from them.

They showed the commission voice recordings and WhatsApp messages as proof.

Police started a case after an officer from the commission filed a complaint.

First, police arrested three middlemen, and then they arrested one more person.

After investigating, police found out the leaked information may have come from inside the commission itself.

Police arrested the two employees and are questioning them to find out how the leak happened and who else may be involved.
