Surat Philanthropists Organize Pilgrimages for Religious Harmony
Two groups in Surat, KP Group and PP Savani Group, are helping people go on religious trips.
They are sending about 300 women, including mothers and mothers-in-law of girls who were helped by the Savani group, on a trip to Char Dham, which are holy places for Hindus.
They are also sending Muslim women and their husbands on a trip to Mecca and Medina, which are holy places for Muslims.
One of the organizers will go with them to make sure they are comfortable.
This is to show that people from different religions can get along and to help people feel good and have peace.
KP Group and PP Savani Group organized Char Dham pilgrimage for 300 women.
The pilgrimage includes mothers and mothers-in-law of underprivileged, orphaned girls.
An Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca-Medina was arranged for Muslim daughters and their husbands.
