Girard-Perregaux Elevates Laureato With Slim New Tourbillon Sports Watch
After 50 years in the Royal Oak’s shadow, Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato has finally built its own mechanical theatre · firstpost.com

Girard-Perregaux has made a very special version of its Laureato sports watch.

It is 39 millimetres wide and made from steel.

Inside is a tourbillon, which is a moving part designed to make the watch’s timekeeping more precise.

The watch also uses a small micro-rotor to wind itself without hiding the movement.

It can have either a deep-blue enamel dial or a gold dial.

The design includes details inspired by the company’s long history.

The watch can run for up to 72 hours when fully wound.

It costs at least $95,600 and is not a limited edition.

However, its 50-metre water resistance is lower than that of the simpler Laureato Fifty.
