DCP Vinit Kumar rescues officer from violent mob

During student protests in Delhi, a police officer named ACP Vivek Bhagat was surrounded and attacked by a violent mob.

DCP Vinit Kumar, wearing a green helmet, saw what was happening and quickly rushed to help.

He wrapped his arms around Bhagat and shielded him from the mob, taking blows himself.

Two other officers, Head Constable Rahul Siwach and Constable Deepak, were also injured while trying to protect Kumar.

Another officer, ACP Rajouri Garden Sharadt Chandra Nirmal, stayed back to call for reinforcements.

The rescue was successful, but it came at a high cost with multiple officers injured.
