Telangana Pushes Joint Response Plan For Chemical Accidents
In Telangana, a big meeting happened about keeping people safe from chemical accidents.
Factories that use dangerous chemicals can sometimes have accidents.
The government wants these factories to work together with emergency helpers.
That way, if something goes wrong, everyone can respond quickly.
About 96 people from factories and officials came to the meeting.
A government leader named Harichandrana Dasari told the factories department to make sure everyone coordinates.
The director of factories, Y. Mohan Babu, said practice drills are important.
They also talked about following safety rules.
The goal is to protect workers and people living near factories.
Telangana called for stronger coordination among Major Accident Hazard (MAH) factories, district administrations, and emergency agencies for timely chemical accident response.
A workshop on the issue was organized by the National Safety Council Telangana Chapter and the department of factories at FTCCI.
Around 96 representatives of MAH factories and officials attended the programme.
Secretary to Government Harichandrana Dasari directed the factories department to strengthen coordination among agencies for timely emergency action.
Director of factories Y. Mohan Babu stressed compliance with hazardous chemicals rules and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
