Dombivli Cancels 2026 Dandiya Festival to Support Crisis-Hit Farmers

Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde cancelled Dombivli’s 2026 Rasrang Dandiya Utsav.
Funds set aside for the annual festival will support families affected by Maharashtra’s agricultural crisis.
The decision was announced by Shiv Sena MLA Rajesh More at a Dombivli press conference.
Organisers are assessing affected areas, the form of assistance and the families who will receive it.
The festival may return in subsequent years, while detailed support plans will be announced after the assessment.
