'Hands Off': CJP Opposes Jantar Mantar Protest Site Move

Some grown-ups in India like to gather at a special place in the capital city called Jantar Mantar to tell the government what they want.

People have been doing peaceful protests there for a very long time.

A group called the Cockroach Janta Party heard that Jantar Mantar might stop being a place where people can protest.

They did not like that idea at all.

Their spokesperson, Saurav Das, wrote on X, "HANDS OFF our Jantar Mantar!"

That means "don't take away our protest place!"

He asked leaders to tell people where they could protest peacefully instead.

He also said another famous place, India Gate, was already taken away for protests.

Peaceful protesting is an important right in India, and people want places to do it.

The party says it will not accept losing Jantar Mantar too.
