Nashik Road Projects Face Scrutiny Over Quality Inspection Lapses
Nashik is building and improving 28 roads before a large religious gathering in 2027.

This made it harder to check whether the work was being done properly.

Nashik Municipal Corporation is developing 28 roads ahead of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027.
The projects have an estimated cost of around ₹1,230 crore and are scheduled for completion by March 2027.
Quality Control Department inspections found discrepancies between Concrete Pour Cards and Daily Concrete Registers.
Independent date-wise tagging, inspection requests and complete records were unavailable at some sites.
The department directed the Public Works Department and project consultants to conduct more rigorous inspections.
