BHIM App launches MyUPI AI assistant for safer UPI support
BHIM has added a new helper called MyUPI to its payments app.
MyUPI lets people ask questions about UPI payments using everyday language.
It can show transactions and help users report or track some payment problems.
People can also use it to pause, resume or cancel eligible recurring payments.
The assistant can help verify a payee before a payment is made.
It also offers tools for suspicious messages, unexpected debits or possible account problems.
Users can block a linked bank account through the Safety Switch in certain situations.
MyUPI works all day and currently supports five languages.
People must still use their UPI PIN for payment actions that require authentication.
NPCI BHIM Services Limited launched the MyUPI AI assistant within the BHIM Payments App.
MyUPI offers 24/7 conversational support in English, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and Tamil.
Users can view transactions, raise complaints, track cases and manage eligible UPI mandates.
Safety tools include payee verification, account blocking and fraud-awareness information.
Eligible payment actions still require authentication through the user's UPI PIN.
