In Mumbai, police officers called the Crime Branch caught a man who they say was trying to sell guns.

The man's name is Manish Mantu Shahani, and he is 33 years old.

He came from a city called Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, a state in India.

The police found two automatic pistols and 10 bullets with him.

Police had heard he was in the area to sell guns, so they set a trap and caught him at his hotel.

Now a case has been registered against him for possessing the weapons.

Police also learned that he was connected to older cases in Uttar Pradesh.

Those include two murder cases and one robbery case from 2014, 2019, and 2021.

Police are still investigating where he got the guns and who else may be involved.
